Pilates Studio Programme
minimum 12 weeks

pilates programmes

This is the primary programme at our Studio, on traditional Pilates equipment and is suitable for fitness or rehabilitation.

Rehabilitation – the Pilates Studio Programme is ideal for those with a history of back/neck pain or other musculoskeletal problems. The initial assessment allows the physiotherapist to plan a programme aimed to correct the factors which may be causing back pain or other problems. Careful supervision and small class sizes provide a safe environment for you exercise in.

Fitness – the Pilates Studio Programme is based on an individual assessment of your flexibility and strength. This programme will teach you the Pilates Principles, and exercises are selected to challenge your strength and flexibility with careful attention to technique and posture. The Programme can cater for all levels of fitness from beginners to elite athletes.

The series is carefully structured as follows:

  1. Initial biomechanical assessment with a physiotherapist to identify your strengths and weaknesses. Your individualised programme is planned based on this assessment and your goals.
  2. One to one instruction of your individualised Pilates Studio Programme which teaches you the Pilates principles and how to perform your exercises safely on the Pilates equipment.
  3. Small group sessions in our Studio which allow up to five people to use the Studio together (each performing their own programme). These sessions are carefully supervised by a physiotherapist.
  4. Review on a regular basis with results compared to your initial assessment and your programme upgraded accordingly.

At the end of your programme a thorough (one hour) biomechanics assessment is made. A summary of your achievements and a complete resource file including all your ball and floor exercises and stretches to continue with at home is presented to you to keep. Clients are however welcome to continue attending supervised classes at the studio on completion of the 12 week programme if desired.
