Catherine Johnson

Cathy’s special areas of interest are headache, neck and back pain and exercise programmes for chronic spinal pain. Since graduating in 1986 from the University of South Australia, Cathy has worked largely in private practice in both Adelaide and the UK. She spent four years at the Wakefield Sports Clinic, during which time she gained her Level 1 and 2 Sports Physiotherapy certificates and was the team physiotherapist for the Adelaide Giants Baseball Club (ABL National League).

In 1996, Cathy undertook a Master’s degree in manipulative physiotherapy, which involved a year’s postgraduate training in the diagnosis and advanced management of musculo-skeletal problems. Cathy also worked as a clinical educator at the School of Physiotherapy, and since 1997 has undertaken extensive training in the Pilates method through Dance Medicine Australia (Melbourne) and Polestar Education (Miami, Florida), gaining her formal pilates rehabilitation certification through Polestar in 2002.

Cathy also worked with Dean Watson at the Headache Clinic for a total of 8 years, gaining unique personal experience working alongside this internationally recognised expert in physiotherapy management of chronic benign headache.

Cathy also has an interest in meditation for pain control and stress management.

Peter Tziavrangos

Graduating in 1996 Peter's experience has included working in Australia and the UK. His field of expertise is in the management of back pain, neck pain and headaches using manual therapy and the Pilates Method of exercise. In addition to this he has a background in occupational health and industrial physiotherapy, and offers individual home and work-place based ergonomic assessments where it is considered that poor set up in these areas may be contributing to stubborn pain presentations.

Peter brings a great depth of personal experience in the sporting arena, having competed at state and national level with indoor volleyball. Peter's Pilates training is through Polestar Education, the Pilates Institute of Australasia and the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute.


Veronica Tziavrangos

Veronica graduated from the University of South Australia with honours in 1997. She has experience in private practice working with sports injuries, occupational health and general injuries, and extensive experience in rehabilitation after surgery and medical illness. Since graduating she has worked in Australia and the UK, in major hospitals as well as private practice. She is a mum with two kids and spends time hiking or running when she can, including having completed the trailblazer 100km event and the Glasgow half marathon.


Marelle Wilson

Marelle graduated as a physiotherapist in 1993 from the University of South Australia. She has spent time working in Sydney and the United Kingdom as well as running her own private practice specialising in Dance injuries. Marelle has lectured to Dance Performance students at TAFE, to students undertaking the APMA (Australian Pilates Method Association) Pilates qualification and to Physiotherapy students at the University of SA. She has a special interest in using the Pilates method of exercise in pregnancy, and with dance related conditions. Marelle has also developed our Pilates Fundamentals Mat Classes, and manages our Pilates services. She is kept busy as mother of 2 boys, and enjoys practising and teaching meditation.



Sophie Mitchell

Sophie has a special interest and extensive experience in pelvic floor physiotherapy, women's health, physiotherapy in pregnancy and pre and post natal exercise. She has postgraduate training in pelvic floor physiotherapy and is a trained Pilates instructor having completed training with Polestar, Dance Medicine Australia and Move. Currently she is coordinator of all pregnancy and postnatal services at Move, and also our hydrotherapy coordinator. Sophie also treats general musculoskeletal conditions and teaches Pilates Mat and Studio Classes at Move.


Louise O’Neill

Louise joined our practice in 2011. She graduated as a physiotherapist in 2007 from the University of South Australia.  Since graduating, Louise has enjoyed working in the rural setting (Kangaroo Island) and in Adelaide in  public and private settings.  She has worked at The Royal Adelaide Hospital and Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre in many different areas including rehabilitation following orthopaedic surgery and with amputees. 

Louise has a strong interest in active rehabilitation and enjoys using Pilates to achieve great results with clients.  She has a keen interest in professional development and regularly attends conferences and weekend workshops offered by the Australian Physiotherapy Association. Louise enjoys keeping fit and active by training for triathlons and open water swims (in summer only!).


Jenny Phillips

Since graduating in1999, Jenny has worked extensively in Adelaide andthe UK in public hospitals and private practices.

She has a specialinterest in neck and back pain, as well as a keen interest in women'shealth. Jenny also works at the Women's and Children's Hospital in theWomen's Health section.  She  has much experience in treating women preand post natally for musculoskeletal pains, and in teaching pre andpost natal Pilates exercise classes. She has a great deal ofexperience in developing and teaching Pilates classes, both forrehabilitation purposes and for general well-being and toning andthoroughly enjoys this aspect of her work.

Jenny has two children atprimary school. In her spare time she enjoys running and spending timein the garden.



Sarah Guille

Sarah joined our practise as an aquatic physiotherapist in 2011. Since 2006 she has been the Senior Aquatic physiotherapist at Flinders Medical Centre coordinating the hydrotherapy service and has been responsible for conducting antenatal and paediatric aquatic classes, running daily inpatient and outpatient individual/group aquatic therapy combined with a varied inpatient adult and paediatric rehabilitation caseload.  

In 2010 she completed a 6month advanced training Level 3 certificate in Aquatic Physiotherapy which took her to Melbourne to learn from experts in the profession. Since then she has lectured in 'Antenatal Aquatic Physiotherapy' and the 'Physiology of Immersion' to the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) SA Branches of the Continence& Women's Health and Aquatic Groups. Sarah is also the State Chair for the APA Aquatic Group, has convened and tutored at level 1 Aquatic courses and is the editor for their online journal publication "Newsplash".  

In 2011, Sarah completed her level 3 training and final certification exam as a Matwork Instructor in Modified Pilates for Rehabilitation through the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute (APPI) in Melbourne.  She is passionate about the benefits of core stability and exercise therapy and has previously enjoyed running postnatal education and pregnancy and postnatal land based exercise classes in the hospital setting.  

When she's not in the water, Sarah enjoys following the snow and has ventured to ski resorts in Japan and as far away as Slovakia.  Having lived in the US and Canada for winter snow seasons, her goal is to snowboard in as many countries as possible!
